
The Minister of External Relations, Ambassador Luiz Alberto Figueiredo Machado, will visit Guyana on May 21, when he will meet with the Foreign Ministers of the Caribbean Community – CARICOM, on the sidelines of the 17th Meeting of the Council for Foreign and Community Relations of that Organization.
CARICOM is composed of 14 states – Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, St. Lucia, St. Kitts and Nevis, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago – and the territory of Montserrat. The Organization celebrated, on July 4, 2013, the 40th anniversary of its establishment.
